Poem: In Words

If I were to express in words
The feeling I have about this moment,
My pen would burn with passion,
The sheet would fly on top of euphoria
And my hand would tremble forever.

If I were to cry my joy away,
There would still be plenty left in me,
For it is too strong, too deep, too intense.

And yet so strong is the fear inside me,
The fear to see my joy’s foundation
Tremble and vanish forever from my sight,
For so futile has my joy ever been,
And so uncertain the possibility of love.
