Poem: I Wish

I wish I could promise and vow
that ever I shall be there
but so weak I have become now

I can barely stand anymore
but let me hold your hand
while I am still alive

What is left of life in me
I shall give to you
to see you smile in your heart

I only have a few months to live
let me devote them to you
for I will die in sadness either way

I wish there was a solution
some quick way to earn you
so my last months will not be wasted

I have so little left inside
but I wish to give it to you
so you will have
the happy life I never had
